Behind the whisk.

The loves of my life have always been my husband, Tom, and our children: Tommy, Carly and Allison. And all forms of art, from photography to sketching to creating in a variety of mediums.

Just days before my 50th birthday I had a stroke. I lost so much that day. The ability to remember words. To put them together. To spell. To add and subtract. I lost my career. But I didn’t lose what mattered most: my family and my passion for creating.

I started baking as therapy. And before long the artist in me was reborn. I love spinning sugar into exquisite and sumptuous edible art. And I just roll my eyes at the people who complain that it’s too pretty to eat. Let me just dab away that bit of buttercream off your lying lips.
